With over 30 years experience in the florist industry, I first started my career at McMahon’s of Melbourne and worked directly under the guidance of Geoffrey McMahon, a second generation florist who owned and operated a chain of very successful retail florist shops - McMahon’s of Melbourne, the first florist in Victoria, established over 100 years ago.

Geoffrey McMahon also founded the Australian Academy of Floral Art where I was appointed Operations Manager and Vice Principal for over 20 years.

Throughout those years I taught hundreds of students the skills and techniques which saw many of them go on to very successful careers as florists, managers and business operators in the industry.

Some of my career highlights are the 1984 Royal Tour, The Miss Teenage Quest, flowers for the set of Sale of the Century, presentations at Channel 9, demonstrations at The Melbourne Home Show and society weddings.

For the past ten years I have been operating my retail florist business as the resident florist of Epworth Hospital based in the Richmond campus, where my talented team and I provide both corporate and private customers with our unique floral creations tailored specifically for their needs and requirements as well as flower arrangements and bouquets for presentations, functions, weekly corporate vases and weddings.

Since the launch of our online store in 2006, we have been able provide customers with a faster, more efficient and convenient way of selecting, ordering and delivering flowers to all of the Epworth Hospital Campuses and to both business and private residences throughout Melbourne.

With the launch of our ‘new & improved’ website in 2010 we have added many new features, including a flower blog, to further enhance and facilitate the online shopping experience for our customers.
